<<Front 9

Hole 10

Hole 10Superb short par three played slightly uphill with two bunkers just short of a green that slopes from front to back.

Pro's Tip

Make sure you take enough club for the holes yardage and you are not deceived by the visual appearance of the hole, as there is a little bit of dead ground just after the bunkers and the bunkers themselves tend to foreshorten the view.

Hole 11

Hole 11A great par four that tests all parts of your game, a fairly straight fairway with a large tree on the right side at around two hundred yards, leads to a two tier green set in the trees with a deep bunker front left.

Pro's Tip

An accurate drive down the left opens up the approach to the green in the trees, go right and you will be blocked out by the trees.

Hole 12

Hole 12A short downhill par four played from a tee set back in the trees, a great birdie chance.

Pro's Tip

As the name suggests this hole is driveable for the big hitters and is very birdieable. A straight drive is required off the tee for the first fifty yards or so to avoid the trees, but after this there is little danger, a great chance to open your shoulders.

Hole 13

Hole 13Uphill par three with no bunkers that is guarded by a large tree to the front right of the green, and another to the left side.

Pro's Tip

Out of bounds lies not far behind the green and as the shot approaches from below the level of the green the ball tends to bounce on here, so beware of taking too much club.

Hole 14

Hole 14The hardest hole on the course, a downhill hole with a slight dogleg to the left and out of bounds all down the left. The narrow green is cut close to the out of bounds on the left and has a large bunker cut into its left side, out of bounds is also just over the back of the green.

Pro's Tip

A straight drive down the centre of the fairway leaves a medium to short iron to the green, which needs to find the left half of the green to hold the putting surface. Be careful not to over club with your approach shot as it is downhill and out of bounds lies just over the green.

Hole 15

Hole 15A testing uphill dogleg par four through the trees crossing the fairway rising to a raised green set in the trees.

Pro's Tip

Ideally a drawn tee shot through the gap will leave a straight approach shot to the green. Take one club more than you expect for the shot to the green to carry the upslope in front of the green.

Hole 16

Hole 16Straight away par four with a fairway split by a row of mature trees leading to a two tier green with bunkers right and left.

Pro's Tip

Keep your drive to the left of the row of trees in the middle of the fairway to have a clear approach to the green.

Hole 17

Hole 17A long downhill par four meandering through mounds containing fairway bunkers and planted with gorse. A pond sits to the right of the fairway some sixty yards short of a green that is protected by bunkers both to the front right and to the left side.

Pro's Tip

A drive just inside the right hand fairway bunker will leave you nicely placed on the fairway for an approach to the green. If you don’t have the distance to reach the green in two think about laying up a hundred yards short to avoid a downhill lie, and to take the pond out of the equation.

Hole 18

Hole 18A great little hole requiring thought from the tee, it is driveable for bigger hitters but you have to be aware of the out of bounds close to the left of the green and also behind it. A large pond lies to the left of the fairway and a small stream cuts across the fairway sixty yards short of a green that has bunkers left and right.

Pro's Tip

A safe play is a mid iron tee shot up the right half of the fairway leaving a straightforward pitch to a large green.
